Note: These changes apply to importers only, not to end consumers who have not paid any PTA taxes for approval.
Custom values for some smartphone brands have been updated yet again by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), only a few months after the last update in January 2026. This has increased import tax charges on these smartphones, commonly known as “PTA tax”, meaning more expensive used older generation phones for us.
Since we have already covered the updated PTA taxes for the iPhone 15 series, it is now time to talk about the iPhone 14 lineup, which includes the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but no changes have been made to the iPhone 14 Plus so far.
Based on these phones’ new custom value, we can determine the PTA taxes applied to each model.
Old vs New PTA Tax on iPhone 14 Series
| Model | Old Tax on CNIC (January 2026) | Old Tax on Passport (January 2026) | New Tax on CNIC (April 2026) | New Tax on Passport (April 2026) |
| iPhone 14 | Rs. 27,045 | Rs. 24,584 | Rs. 30,321 | Rs. 27,860 |

What rubbish is it.
Government should have to reduce PTA tax to encourage the mobile industry. It is very funny increase the taxes on old devices. They have to increase tax on new devices rather than old. Allah give them hadayah.
That’s fake I just bought an iphone 14 pro and they says it’s pta tax is 1lakh 14 thousand
It’s for importers, not for us consumers
