Viagra to be Produced in Pakistan From Next Month

AGP Limited plans to manufacture and launch Viagra in Pakistan, according to a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The company’s board approved an arrangement with an associated entity under which AGP will undertake contract manufacturing and marketing of Viagra, with the product expected to be launched in May 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Under this arrangement, AGP will act as the Contract Manufacturing Organization while also securing marketing rights for commercialization and promotion of the product in Pakistan, marking its entry into a high-value therapeutic segment.

“The necessary agreements are being finalised between the parties and the product is expected to be launched in the market during May 2026, subject to completion of all formalities,” it added.

In a separate filing, the company approved a marketing arrangement for the pharmaceutical product Xanax through an associated company, with a similar expected launch timeline in May 2026.

In another disclosure, AGP signed an agreement with global pharmaceutical firm STADA to market and distribute the Oilatum skincare range in Pakistan, reflecting diversification into consumer healthcare and dermatology segments.

The board also authorized the company to explore strategic growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, investments, and business combinations, along with operational optimization initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and creating synergies.

Incorporated in 2014, AGP operates across manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, often through licensing arrangements with international partners.
