Rawalpindi Police Arrest Two Men Over Alleged Sexual Assault of Pizza Outlet Worker

Police on Sunday arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the sexual assault of a woman employed at a pizza outlet in the Saddar Barooni area, police said.

According to a police spokesman, the case was registered after the victim lodged a complaint, accusing the two men of abducting her while she was on her way home, taking her to a deserted building, and assaulting her.

She alleged that the suspects also recorded a video of the incident.

Acting swiftly, the Saddar Barooni Police arrested both suspects and started an investigation.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar, Anum Sher commended the police team for their swift action and said the victim had undergone the required medical examination and that the accused would be presented in the court with solid evidence.

She added that strict action would be taken against those involved in sexual assault and physical abuse of women and children, and such heinous crimes would be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law, adding that further legal proceedings were underway.
