Sindh CM Sets Deadline for Shahrah-e-Bhutto Opening

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday reviewed progress on the Shahrah-e-Bhutto project and directed officials to accelerate work to ensure the corridor is opened to traffic before Eid, terming it an “Eid gift” for Karachi.

During the visit, the chief minister reviewed work on Shahrah-e-Bhutto from Azeempura Flyover to Kathore and was briefed on the status of the 38-kilometre corridor linking Jam Sadiq Interchange to the M-9 Kathore Interchange.

Officials informed him that around 93 percent of the project has been completed, with all bridges constructed and asphalt work in its final stages. They said expansion joints will be completed within 10 days, while the remaining work is expected to be finished within two weeks.

The chief minister directed that construction continue round the clock to meet deadlines, while emphasizing that quality standards must be maintained.

He also instructed authorities to ensure effective traffic management and safety measures during the final phase of the project.
