Engro Fertilizers Limited (PSX: EFERT) has approved the appointment of Imran Ahmed as Chief Executive Officer of the company.
According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors approved the appointment for the remainder of the current term ending on the date of the next election of directors.
The company said Imran Ahmed will formally join as CEO from May 11, 2026.
The appointment comes months after the resignation of former CEO Ali Rathore, who had led the company during a period marked by record urea production, operational expansion, and broader agricultural sector challenges linked to gas supply, inflation, and farm economics.
Engro Fertilizers remains one of Pakistan’s largest fertilizer producers and a key player in the country’s agriculture sector, with manufacturing facilities in Daharki and Port Qasim.
The company holds a major share in Pakistan’s urea market and operates flagship brands including Zarkhez and Zingro.
