7 Armed Robbers Steal Truck Carrying Cooking Oil Worth Rs. 2 Crore on Motorway

A truck transporting oil from Karachi port to Sialkot was snatched near the Commander City housing scheme on M9 Motorway in the limits of Nooriabad police station in Jamshoro district.

Sajid Jameel, a manager of the goods transport company whose truck was snatched, lodged an FIR at Nooriabad police station on Saturday, narrating that the truck was shipping edible oil to Sialkot but it was robbed by 7 armed men who were travelling in a double cab.

He added that the truck’s driver Falak Sher and cleaner Ashraf were blindfolded and their hands and legs were tied.

According to him, both of them were dropped several kilometers away from the site of the robbery in the wilderness.

The manager claimed that the robbed oil was worth around Rs. 20 million.
