Senate Passes 5 Private Member Bills

The Senate on Monday passed five private member bills.

The bills included the Islamabad Capital Territory Compulsory Thalassemia Screening Bill, 2026, the Corporate Social Responsibility Bill, 2026, the Pakistan Penal Code (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Islamabad Capital Territory Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill, 2022 and the Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill, 2022.

The bills were piloted by Senators Sarmad Ali, Sherry Rehman and Fawzia Arshad in the House.
