How to Apply for HEC Online Degree Attestation

Higher Education Commission has introduced a fully online and paperless Degree Attestation System (DAS), allowing students and graduates across Pakistan to apply for degree attestation without visiting HEC offices.

The new system enables applicants to submit requests anytime through the official HECe-Services Portal.

Degree Attestation Fee

HEC has set the attestation fee at Rs3,000 per document, including:

  • Degree
  • Transcript
  • Provisional Certificate
  • HEC Equivalence Letter

Applicants can make payments through the 1-Link (1-Bill) system after a consumer number is automatically generated on the portal.

How to Apply for HEC Degree Attestation

Step 1: Create an Account

  • New users must sign up on the HEC e-Services Portal
  • Existing users can log in using registered credentials

Step 2: Enter Personal Details

Applicants must provide:

  • Full name
  • Father’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Marital status
  • Residential address

HEC has advised applicants to ensure that all details on their CNIC and academic documents match exactly.

Step 3: Add Academic Information

Applicants are required to enter complete academic records from:

  • Matric/SSC
  • Intermediate/HSSC
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree or higher qualifications

Details include degree title, duration, session, campus, and registration or roll number.

Step 4: Select Documents for Attestation

Applicants can choose the required documents, including:

  • Degree
  • Transcript/Result Card
  • Provisional Certificate
  • HEC Equivalence Letter

The system automatically calculates the total fee based on selected documents.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload clear scanned copies of:

  • CNIC (front and back)
  • All academic certificates and transcripts
  • Additional supporting documents, if required

Verification Process

After submission, HEC verifies the applicant’s details through:

  • National Database and Registration Authority
  • Relevant universities and educational institutions

Once verification is complete, HEC conducts a final review before issuing the e-Attestation Certificate.

Issuance of e-Attestation Certificate

Successful applicants receive confirmation through SMS and email. They can then download the e-Attestation Certificate directly from their HEC online account.

HEC Chairman’s Statement

HEC Chairman Niaz Ahmed Akhtar said the new digital system eliminates the need for physical visits and submission of original documents, making the attestation process faster, easier, and more accessible for students nationwide.
