Pakistan car sales (as reported by PAMA) clocked in at 22,015 units in Apr 2026, up by 107% YoY and 42% MoM. This took 10MFY26 cumulative sales to 166,044 units, up 49% YoY. This rise was majorly driven by a rise in sales seen in Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) and Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW).
The impressive 107% YoY growth was driven by new market entrants, new product launches, relatively lower inflation in previous months, and surge in auto financing. To recall, auto financing reached 42-month high in Mar 2026 up 34% YoY and 3% MoM.
Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) reported sales of 2,225 units in Apr 2026 up 4.1x YoY and 28% MoM. Amongst this includes 16 units of the new TANK variant which started deliveries in Apr 2026.
PSMC posted a notable 2.8x YoY and 76% MoM increase to 11,012 units. This was majorly driven by 3.3x YoY and 66% MoM rise in Alto sales to 7,567 units and 3.3x YoY and 2.2x MoM to 2,205 units of Swift.
Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) recorded a rise of 59% YoY and 17% MoM to 2,716 units in Apr 2026. City & Civic sales rose 55% YoY and 19% MoM to 2,432 units, while BR-V & HR-V sales increased 2.1x YoY and 3% MoM, reaching 284 units.
Indus Motor Company (INDU) posted a 33% YoY and 12% MoM growth to 4,330 units. Corolla, Yaris, and Cross sales collectively increased 37% YoY and 10% MoM to 3,451 units and Fortuner and IMV sales rose 18% YoY and 21% MoM to 879 units.
Hyundai Nishat Motors recorded 11% YoY and 8% MoM rise to 1,002 units, majorly due to the Tucson model. 2 and 3-wheeler sales increased 40% YoY and 14% MoM to 190,340 units in Apr 2026, marking an all-time-high value. This took cumulative 10MFY26 sales to 1.6mn units, up 32% YoY.
Atlas Honda (ATLH), the maker of the popular CD70 bike, recorded an increase of 41% YoY and 14% MoM, with sales reaching 163k units, yet another all-time-high milestone for the company. Tractor sales posted a growth of 76% YoY while down 6% MoM to 2,824 units in Apr 2026. Truck and bus sales surged 58% YoY and 46% MoM to 824 units in Apr 2026.
