Punjab Announces Free Land Scheme for Homeless Citizens

Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday announced that the Government of Punjab will provide free land to citizens who do not own property as part of its housing welfare initiatives.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore for the distribution of residential flats among labourers, the chief minister congratulated workers receiving housing units and described home ownership as one of life’s greatest blessings.

Maryam Nawaz said rising inflation and economic pressures had made it increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens to build their own homes.

  • Construction of 500 houses in Taxila is nearing completion
  • Around 100,000 houses have already been completed under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” Program

Maryam Nawaz said the provincial government remains committed to expanding housing facilities and welfare projects for low-income and deserving families across Punjab.
