Qingqi and Loader Rickshaws Banned From Accessing Key Road in Lahore

The Lahore traffic police have imposed a complete ban on loader rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws on Canal Road to improve traffic flow and reduce accidents.

According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, loader rickshaws often dangerously carry goods, increasing the risk of fatal accidents.

He added that Qingqi rickshaws create traffic congestion and slow movement on Canal Road, severely affecting traffic flow.

The CTO also ordered a crackdown against auto-rickshaw drivers carrying extra passengers alongside the driver.

Traffic police said special teams have been deployed at Dharampura, Mughalpura, and Thokar Niaz Baig to ensure strict implementation of the ban.

Authorities warned that officers showing negligence in taking action against the loader and Qingqi rickshaws could also face departmental action.
