The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has approved a $320.16 million loan for the reconstruction of key sections of the N-5 Highway under Pakistan’s resilient recovery and infrastructure rehabilitation framework.
The loan agreement was signed by Economic Affairs Secretary Muhammad Humair Karim Kidwai and AIIB Chief Investment Officer Konstantin Limitovskiy.
A separate implementation agreement was also signed between AIIB and the National Highway Authority.
The loan covers Phase-IA of the “Reconstruction of National Highway N-5. The project focuses on critical stretches of the highway through Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is Pakistan’s main transport artery.
The project will enhance climate-resilient infrastructure, improve regional connectivity, and support long-term trade and economic growth.
Pakistan said the initiative marks another step in strengthening cooperation with AIIB and advancing resilient national infrastructure development.

Loan, loan and loan. Cannot do anything in this countey without a loan and then repay with interest. There seems no future for us and our generations will surely blame us for giving them a country in ICU and about to die. Before this happens, public must teach them a lesson.

Nation has all engineers labours raw materials and experts and consultants to build our roads and highways and repair them.
Currant example is highway construction started in Bluchistan since last October with our own resources.
It is also important we have all experts and raw materials available in country for digging wells for oil and gas.
Question of getting loans hiring experts and consultants from outside doesn’t seems good for nation’s development and economic indipendance.
Use your own resources available first if short in anything one can import.
Let nation get benifits from its resources first and far most . It is their right.
Hope Allah will make us wise to employee all able bodied citizens in nations development, exploration and defence and industrial productions.
Never forget china got independence one year after us.
Identify and remove what ever left us behind.
Most important is absence of accountability at all levels of government.
There is huge unemployment and deliberate devaluation and absence of accountability has put millions of people under the line of poverty.
