PAF Trainer Jet Crashes in Punjab

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) K-8 Trainer Aircraft crashed in Manda Khel near Mianwali. Both pilots ejected safely in what officials described as a controlled response to a technical malfunction.

The incident occurred during a routine training sortie when the aircraft experienced a technical error. Despite the failure, the pilots managed to steer the jet away from a nearby populated area before ejecting, preventing any damage to property or loss of life on the ground.

Videos of the crash site circulated rapidly across social media platforms, showing the wreckage in a rural area.

The K-8 is a basic trainer aircraft jointly developed by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and Hongdu Aircraft Industry Group of China. It has been a workhorse for PAF pilot training operations for over two decades.

This is a developing story as PAF has yet to issue a full statement and response to the situation.
