Punjab Bans Burning of Head and Feet of Sacrificial Animals in Public Places

The Punjab Local Government Department has imposed a complete ban on the burning and roasting of siri paye (animal heads and trotters) in public places across the province during Eid al-Adha.

According to an official notification, the ban has been enforced under Section 144 to prevent environmental pollution and protect public health.

Authorities said the practice produces toxic smoke and severe air pollution, posing serious health risks to citizens.
