A video showing a Sweet Creme worker crushing ice by the roadside near a pile of garbage has triggered fresh criticism online.
The clip, which has been circulating widely, appears to show the worker handling ice in an unhygienic environment, prompting questions about cleanliness standards and food handling practices. The footage has fueled debate over whether proper safety measures are being followed in the preparation and serving of food items.
Public reaction online has largely centered on the risks associated with contaminated ice and the responsibility of food businesses to maintain strict hygiene protocols.
Many users said the scene shown in the video was alarming and called for better oversight, cleaner working conditions, and stronger compliance with food safety standards.
The incident has once again put Sweet Crème under scrutiny at a time when the brand is already facing criticism over another controversy that surfaced recently.
Earlier, the company drew public backlash after a six-year-old child, who sells books on the roadside to support his family, was allegedly assaulted by a staff member at one of its branches in Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi, after he asked for ice during the ongoing heatwave.
Following the backlash, Sweet Crème issued a public apology, said it was deeply concerned by the incident, and announced that the employee involved had been terminated. The company also said it has zero tolerance for such conduct.
ProPakistani reached out to Sweet Creme for a comment but they did not respond.
