A final draft of a United States–Iran agreement has been completed with the mediation of Pakistan and is expected to be officially announced within hours, according to Iranian state media and a report shared by The Kobeissi Letter.
The development comes amid ongoing indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran, with Pakistan acting as the primary diplomatic channel facilitating exchanges between both sides.
Pakistan has arguably played the best and safest hand so far in helping achieve a US-Iran ceasefire, to perhaps a permanent end to the war in the coming hours, or days.
The final draft agreement would help reach a permanent deal to de-escalating tensions and end the war, with previous drafts focusing on ceasefire arrangements, sanctions relief discussions, and regional security guarantees
Pakistani officials have been central to the process, relaying proposals and counter-proposals between the two countries during multiple rounds of talks held since April.
While details of the final text have not been publicly disclosed, many newspapers are reporting that both parties have moved closer to a consensus after prolonged negotiations.
At the time of press, no official confirmation has yet been issued by Washington or Tehran regarding the final announcement timeline.
