The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia, scheduled to be played from May 30 to June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to lead the side, while Salman Ali Agha has been named vice-captain. The squad also marks the return of Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem, all of whom missed Pakistan’s ODI series in Bangladesh in March.
Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas and Rohail Nazir have retained their places in the ODI setup and could make their international debuts in the series after previously being selected without getting a game.
Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir have been picked as the two wicketkeeper-batters after Usman Khan was ruled out due to illness.
Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub were not considered for selection as both continue their rehabilitation under the PCB medical panel following injuries.
