Punjab Bans Transport of Sacrificial Animals in Passenger Vehicles

Punjab Traffic Police has directed authorities across the province to ensure safe transportation of sacrificial animals during Eid ul Azha and warned transporters against violating traffic regulations.

According to a spokesperson, DIG Traffic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir ordered strict action against transporters carrying sacrificial animals in passenger buses, vans, and coaches.

The DIG said transporting animals on rooftops or in unsafe conditions posed serious risks to both human lives and livestock. He directed that sacrificial animals should only be transported through goods transport vehicles.
