Pakistan Wins Multiple Medals at Asian Junior Squash Championships 2026

Pakistan’s young squash players delivered a strong performance at the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2026 in China, finishing the event with five medals across different age categories.

A total of eight Pakistani players competed in the continental championship. Five of them reached the podium, highlighting the Pakistan’s growing strength in junior squash.

Pakistan won two gold medals through Nauman Khan in the Boys U-17 category and Ahmad Rayyan Khalil in the Boys U-15 category.

In the Boys U-17 final, Nauman defeated India’s Shiven Agarwal 3-1. After losing the opening game, he made a strong comeback to win 10-12, 11-7, 11-2, 11-5 in a 46-minute match.

Ahmad Rayyan Khalil also produced an impressive performance in the Boys U-15 final. He defeated Malaysia’s PNG Vidhurran Ruthiran 3-0, winning 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 in 29 minutes. Khalil stayed in control throughout the match and secured a straight-games victory.

Pakistan also claimed a silver medal through Mahnoor Ali in the Girls U-15 category. She lost 0-3 to China’s Ziyuan Yin in a close final, with scores of 10-12, 9-11, 10-12. The match lasted 23 minutes.

The national team added two bronze medals as Muhammad Umair Arif finished third in the Boys U-17 category and Muhammad Sohail Adnan secured third place in the Boys U-15 category after strong runs in their respective draws.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Abdullah Nawaz and Mustafa Khan reached the quarterfinals, while Sehrish Ali advanced to the third round before being eliminated.

Pakistan ended the championship with five medals in total: two gold, one silver and two bronze. The result marked a highly successful campaign for the country’s junior squash squad.
