The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started the process of hiring a new batting coach for the men’s national team, with the board issuing an official advertisement for the position.
According to the advertisement released by the PCB, candidates applying for the role must hold a Level 2 coaching qualification.
The board has also made it mandatory for applicants to have at least five years of experience in batting coaching.
Interested candidates have been asked to submit their documents by June 7 on PCB official website.
Sources said the new appointment will be made for Pakistan’s white-ball cricket team. Hanif Malik is currently working as batting coach with the Pakistan white-ball side.
However, sources said Pakistan’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia will be Malik’s final assignment in the role. The series is scheduled to begin with the first ODI in Rawalpindi on May 30, followed by the second ODI in Lahore on June 2 and the third ODI in Lahore on June 4.
Sources added that Malik is currently serving his notice period after deciding a few weeks ago to step down as batting coach.
