The Punjab government has ordered a province-wide inspection of park rides and swings ahead of Eid-ul-Adha to ensure public safety.
Authorities have directed all deputy commissioners to inspect amusement parks and immediately shut down dangerous or unsafe rides.
The move comes as Punjab intensifies preparations for Eid-ul-Adha with special focus on cleanliness, security, and public convenience.
Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari said the government has canceled leaves for relevant officials under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign to maintain effective sanitation operations during the holidays.
She added that the government is distributing 12 million waste bags among citizens to improve waste management during Eid. Authorities will also provide foolproof security at mosques and Imambargahs across the province.
Meanwhile, officials are closely monitoring transport and security arrangements as large numbers of people travel to their hometowns for Eid celebrations.
