Honor Win Turbo Launched With One of the Biggest Batteries Ever in the Smartphone Market

Honor has launched the Win Turbo in China as the third model in its Win series. The lineup already includes the Honor Win and Win RT, which launched last year.

Like the other models in the series, the Win Turbo also brings one of the biggest batteries ever in the mainstream smartphone market.

Design and Display

The Honor Win Turbo features a 6.79-inch flat LTPS OLED display with a 2640 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Honor says the screen can reach up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness. It also supports 3840Hz PWM dimming and Honor’s Oasis eye protection technology.

Despite its large battery, the phone measures 7.98mm thick and weighs 216 grams.

The design keeps the horizontal camera layout used on earlier Win series models, although Honor has slightly redesigned the camera arrangement. Unlike the previous two Win series phones, the Win Turbo does not include a cooling fan.

The phone comes in three colors: Fast Gameplay, Win by Choice, and Blue Fearless.

Internals and Software

The Honor Win Turbo is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite processor. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The phone is available with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Honor has also included dual stereo speakers, a Z-axis vibration motor, a C1+ RF enhancement chip, and second-generation Hongyan communication technology.

The phone carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Cameras

The Honor Win Turbo has a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization. It is paired with a 5MP secondary rear camera.

On the front, the phone includes a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery And Pricing

The Honor Win Turbo packs a 10,000mAh battery. Honor says the phone can deliver more than 14 hours of gaming or over 22 hours of short video playback on a single charge.

The battery supports 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging.

Pricing starts at or around $486 for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB version costs around $530. The top-end 16GB + 512GB model is priced at around $619.
