LGS Challenges Punjab Govt Orders Again, Resumes Exams During Summer Vacations

Lahore Grammar School has reportedly started taking exams from Monday, June 1, despite government orders requiring schools in Punjab to remain closed for summer vacations.

The development comes after Punjab announced summer vacations for schools from May 22 to August 24 due to rising temperatures and heatwave concerns.

According to information received, LGS has directed students to appear for exams from June 1. The issue is not new. Earlier in May, students had alleged that Lahore Grammar School was forcing them to attend classes despite the official summer vacation orders.

Later, another controversy emerged when the school allegedly asked students to appear for exams during summer holidays in plain clothes to avoid public attention.

The latest development suggests that the matter has continued even after public criticism and earlier reports about the school’s conduct.

Parents and students have expressed concern over the decision, especially as the provincial government announced the vacation schedule to protect children from extreme heat.
