Baseus has launched the Bowie MC2 globally, adding a new pair of clip-on open-ear earbuds to its audio lineup. The earbuds focus on long-term comfort, high-resolution wireless audio, AI features, and extended battery life.
Design And Comfort
The Bowie MC2 uses a flexible memory titanium alloy C bridge design. Each earbud weighs 5.1 grams, making the pair lightweight for extended use.
The earbuds include CloudComfort 2.0 air cushions made from soft silicone. These detachable cushions help spread pressure more evenly around the ear, which is important for clip-on earbuds that can otherwise feel tight after long listening sessions.
Baseus includes three cushion sizes in the box: medium, large, and extra large. The earbuds also carry an IP67 rating for protection against dust, sweat, rain, and water splashes.
Audio And Calls
The Bowie MC2 uses custom 11mm dynamic drivers and supports LDAC for higher-quality wireless audio on compatible devices. The earbuds also include Hi-Res certification, SuperBass 3.0, and BIAS Spatial Audio.
Open-ear earbuds do not seal the ear canal, which can make bass harder to reproduce. The Bowie MC2 uses directional sound delivery and enlarged vents to focus audio toward the ear while reducing leakage.
For calls, the earbuds use four directional microphones with AI-based noise reduction to focus on the user’s voice and reduce wind and background noise.
Battery And Connectivity
The Bowie MC2 offers up to 11.5 hours of playback on a single charge. The charging case extends total battery life to 55 hours, while a 10-minute quick charge provides up to three hours of listening.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0 and multipoint pairing, allowing users to connect to two devices at the same time.
AI Features And Colors
The companion app includes AI tools for translation, note-taking, and chat assistance. The translation feature supports more than 135 languages.
The Bowie MC2 comes in Cosmic Black, Stellar White, and Deepsea Blue color options.
Pricing And Availability
The Baseus Bowie MC2 is available through the Baseus US Amazon channel from June 1 at a retail price of $79.99. The earbuds are also listed on the official Baseus website at $59.99.
The European launch is scheduled for June 10, with pricing set at €89.99.
