Major Karachi Roads to Get Road Safety Officer Units

Traffic police have decided to establish a new Road Safety Officer Unit to improve road safety, enhance traffic management and provide better assistance to motorists across the city.

According to officials, Road Safety Officers will be deployed on major arteries, including Shahrah-e-Faisal, Mauripur Road, Korangi Road and Shahrah-e-Liaquat.

The officers will help improve traffic flow, guide commuters on alternative routes and provide information related to travel and transportation facilities. They will also offer timely assistance to motorists facing difficulties during their journeys.

A traffic police spokesperson said the initiative is aimed at creating a safer travel environment while strengthening communication between the public and traffic authorities.

The unit will also focus on raising awareness about traffic laws, road safety measures and responsible driving practices as part of efforts to promote safer roads and public-friendly policing.
