Domino’s Pizza Trolls New God of War Game and It’s Gone Viral

Santa Monica Studio has responded to a social media post from Domino’s Pizza UK after the pizza chain mocked the newly announced God of War: Laufey for not featuring Kratos as the main character.

Domino’s Pizza UK wrote that a God of War game without Kratos was like a Pepperoni Passion without pepperoni. Santa Monica Studio replied with a brief response, saying: “ok, thanks for the feedback, Domino’s Pizza corporate account.”

Online Reaction

The Domino’s post drew criticism from users who argued that the new game should not be dismissed only because it focuses on a different character. Some replies also criticized Domino’s over its workplace reputation and the quality of its food.

The Domino’s Pizza UK account is known for sharp and attention-seeking posts, and the God of War comment quickly became part of the wider online debate around the new game.

God Of War: Laufey Details

God of War: Laufey was revealed during PlayStation’s June State of Play showcase and is coming to PS5. The game shifts the focus from Kratos to Faye, also known as Laufey, who is Kratos’ wife and Atreus’ mother.

The story follows Faye in the Everywhen, the afterlife of the gods, while the events take place alongside the story of 2018’s God of War. The game also introduces new characters, including a talking gelatinous cube named Phranque, voiced by Jack Quaid.

A Different Direction For The Series

Kratos remains one of PlayStation’s most recognizable characters, but Santa Monica Studio is using God of War: Laufey to tell the story from another perspective. The game gives Faye her own combat style, with more agile movement and magic-based action compared with Kratos’ heavier approach.

The shift has led to mixed reactions online, with some fans welcoming the new direction and others questioning a God of War game without Kratos at the center.
