The Punjab government has prepared a plan to establish two Artificial Intelligence (AI) schools in Lahore at a cost of Rs. 81 crore as part of efforts to modernize the education sector.
According to official sources, the schools will offer education in artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced information technology to equip students with skills required for the future digital economy.
The project includes the establishment of smart classrooms, modern computer laboratories and other technology-based learning facilities. Authorities are also considering a specialized AI training program for teachers to strengthen their professional capabilities.
Officials said the initiative aims to prepare students for emerging technologies, digital skills and future employment opportunities, enabling them to compete in the global job market.
The proposed AI schools will feature modern educational infrastructure and are expected to play a key role in promoting technology-driven education across Punjab. Authorities believe the project will help align the province’s education system with international standards and future workforce demands.
