The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpur, has postponed the ongoing intermediate first annual examinations across Azad Jammu and Kashmir until further notice due to disruptions caused by a lockdown announced by the Public Action Committee.
According to board officials, the decision was taken in view of the prevailing situation and concerns over the smooth and secure conduct of examinations across the region.
The board confirmed that the exams will remain suspended until further notice, and revised schedules will be announced once conditions return to normal.
In an official statement, the board advised students, parents, and educational institutions to closely follow official announcements for updates regarding the revised examination timetable.
Officials added that new dates will be issued only when administrative arrangements are fully restored, and conditions allow the examinations to be conducted without disruption.
Education sector sources said the postponement is expected to affect thousands of students appearing in the first annual intermediate examinations across the region.
