Flour prices continue to rise across the country, with Karachi residents now paying the highest rate in Pakistan for a 20kg flour bag.
According to official data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the maximum price of a 20kg flour bag in the country has climbed to Rs. 2,800.
The documents show that Karachi is the most expensive city for flour, where a 20kg bag is being sold for up to Rs. 2,800.
Among other major cities, the price has reached Rs. 2,750 in Peshawar, Rs. 2,733 in Islamabad, and Rs. 2,707 in Rawalpindi.
The price of a 20kg flour bag has also been recorded at Rs. 2,700 in both Quetta and Bannu.
According to the data, flour is being sold for Rs. 2,600 in Hyderabad, Rs. 2,400 in Khuzdar and Larkana, Rs. 2,350 in Faisalabad, Rs. 2,333 in Gujranwala, and Rs. 2,267 in Multan.
In contrast, Lahore has recorded the lowest flour price among major cities, where a 20kg bag is being sold for Rs. 2,250.
