Free Nikah and Marriage Registration Facility Launched at Asan Khidmat Markaz Islamabad

A free Marriage Registration Lounge has been established at Pakistan Asan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad to provide citizens with a dignified and convenient environment for the registration of marriages and Nikah ceremonies.

According to National Information Technology Board (NITB) officials, the initiative has been launched under the vision of the Prime Minister to make essential public services more accessible and affordable for citizens.

Officials said the dedicated lounge offers a peaceful and well-organized setting where couples can complete their marriage registration process without incurring any charges. The facility includes the presence of a Nikah registrar, along with representatives from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, NADRA, and other relevant departments to ensure that all legal and administrative requirements are completed at one location.

According to NITB officials, once the Nikah is solemnized and registered at the lounge, the marriage record is processed with the relevant authorities, including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and NADRA.

The service has been introduced primarily to support low-income families in Islamabad, many of whom face significant expenses when arranging similar services at private venues and hotels that often charge substantial fees.

Pakistan Asan Khidmat Markaz was launched in Islamabad on January 15, 2026, as a one-window public service facility aimed at bringing multiple government services under a single roof. Located in G-9 Islamabad, the center was established to improve service delivery, reduce paperwork, and provide citizens with faster access to government departments.

At the time of its inauguration, the center began offering 64 public services through 12 government organizations, with plans to expand the number of services in the future.

Inspired by the successful ASAN Service model, the facility provides a range of citizen services, including NADRA-related assistance, tax services, police documentation, and other administrative functions, making it one of the most comprehensive public service centers in the federal capital.

  • Lol. Should ”National Information Technology Board” be doing this? Is this what they were hired to do?
