UAE is Making it Very Hard for Blue Passport Holding Pakistanis to Board Flights

A parliamentary committee meeting on interior affairs on Tuesday raised concerns over travel restrictions faced by Pakistani parliamentarians, including reports of diplomats and parliamentarians being offloaded/stopped at Dubai airports despite holding blue passports.

Some lawmakers complained about the inconsistent treatment of parliamentarians and their families during immigration checks. They urged the government to formally resolve the issue with foreign authorities.

Lawmakers questioned whether informal agreements exist with foreign immigration authorities. Responsible officials informed on the matter clarified that responses are handled through formal channels and coordination with foreign ministries is ongoing.
