He informed participants that a comprehensive security strategy had been finalized to ensure a peaceful observance of Muharram across Balochistan.

Under the plan, strict checking will be conducted at all major entry and exit points of cities, while special traffic management measures will be implemented to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles and processions.

The IGP said procession routes would undergo thorough search and clearance operations before religious events. He added that shops, markets, and commercial plazas located along procession routes would be sealed where necessary to strengthen security arrangements.

Police officials were also directed to maintain close coordination with procession organizers, religious scholars, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the security plan and prevent any untoward incidents during Muharram.

The measures form part of broader efforts by law enforcement agencies to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for mourners across the province during the holy month.
