In line with the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and in response to requests from the Karachi business community, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established and operationalized a PRAL Front Desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), Karachi, effective June 5, 2026.
The facility is headed by a dedicated Chief (Inland Revenue Operations) and is supported by a specialized team from Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL). Equipped with the required IT infrastructure, the office will serve as a dedicated facilitation center for the Karachi-based business community.
The center will provide on site technical assistance and ensure the timely resolution of issues related to IRIS, e-filing, registration, online tax payments, sales tax returns, refunds, and other digital tax services.
The initiative is part of FBR’s ongoing efforts to enhance taxpayer facilitation, improve service delivery, promote voluntary compliance, and ensure seamless access to digital tax systems.
According to the FBR, the establishment of the dedicated facilitation office reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to build a more efficient, transparent, and responsive tax administration system.
