The Islamabad district administration has notified revised closing hours for markets, malls, restaurants and other commercial establishments under ongoing austerity measures.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, the new timings came into effect on June 10 and will remain in force until further orders.
Shops, markets, shopping malls, bazaars and departmental stores will close at 9:00pm. Standalone grocery and kiryana stores, marriage halls, marquees and other venues hosting events will close at 10:00pm.
Restaurants, cafes, eateries, food outlets and standalone fruit and vegetable shops will be allowed to operate until 11:00pm, while takeaway and home delivery services will remain exempt from the restriction.

Hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories, pharmacies, fuel stations, electric vehicle charging stations, gyms, sports facilities, IT companies and call centers have been exempted from the closing-hour restrictions.
