Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited (PSX: MUGHAL) has fully redeemed its privately placed Sukuk-V worth Rs. 2.5 billion, including the associated profit payment, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
According to the filing, the secured and rated Sukuk certificates reached their scheduled maturity on July 21, 2026, and were redeemed in full along with the profit due to investors.
The Sukuk-V issue had a total value of Rs. 2.5 billion and was privately placed. With the redemption completed, the company has discharged all obligations related to the Islamic debt instrument.
The disclosure was made under the Pakistan Stock Exchange Regulations as material information for shareholders and the market.
MUGHAL’s operations comprise ferrous and nonferrous business segments. However, the principal activity of the Company is the manufacturing and sale of mild steel products relating to the ferrous segment.
