Etihad Airways has announced complimentary medical travel insurance for international passengers flying to Abu Dhabi, giving travelers added health coverage during their stay in the UAE.
Under the new arrangement, eligible passengers traveling with Etihad to Abu Dhabi from July will automatically receive complimentary medical insurance coverage for up to 15 days. The benefit will be provided without the need for a separate application.
The airline said the insurance will apply to eligible Etihad-operated flights between July and December 2026. Coverage will be included with each qualifying ticket for passengers whose destination and point of sale are both outside the UAE.
Travelers using Etihad’s free stopover program to spend time in Abu Dhabi will also be covered for the duration of their stay, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The move has been launched in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s tourism authorities as part of efforts to make travel to the emirate more convenient and attractive for international visitors.
The medical coverage will be underwritten and administered by Daman, which is part of PureHealth.
The offer is likely to add extra appeal for transit passengers and short-stay visitors, especially those looking for additional peace of mind while traveling to the UAE.
