Gold prices remained above Rs. 4.5 lac in Pakistan on Thursday after international rates fell slightly during the session.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan decreased by Rs. 2,300 to Rs. 452,963.
The price of 10 grams of gold also depreciated by Rs. 2,070 to settle at Rs. 387,615.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $23 to settle at $4,305 per ounce.
Silver depreciated in value on the same day. It lost Rs. 144 to settle at Rs. 7,359 per tola on Thursday.
For most of the week, Pakistan’s bullion market remained in uncertainty after gold and silver prices stopped updating nationwide.
Local jewellers across the country continue a strong protest against “harassment and excessive tax demands” by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
