Identity 360 Global Handles Significant BVS Verification Volumes for easypaisa

Identity 360 Global, a venture of EPL Private Limited and a provider of AI-powered digital identity solutions, has taken a significant step in driving financial inclusion across unbanked and underbanked communities by processing substantial touchless biometric verifications through EPL’s digital distribution platform, for a sizeable share of easypaisa digital bank’s extensive nationwide agent network.

Identity 360 Global’s deployment for easypaisa’s agent network is facilitated through EPL’s Digital Distribution Platform, another venture that connects merchants, consumers, and enterprises through nationwide digital infrastructure.

This achievement is particularly noteworthy as the same technology has already powered over one billion biometric verifications worldwide, bringing internationally recognized standards of identity assurance, fraud prevention, and customer convenience to Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

As digital financial services expand across the country, secure identity verification has evolved from a compliance requirement into a critical enabler. From opening accounts and onboarding merchants to accessing financial products remotely, users increasingly expect experiences that are seamless, instant, and secure.

The touchless biometric verification solution enables users to verify their identities without cumbersome physical processes. Identity 360 Global captures and processes biometric images through its AI-powered platform, while validation is completed via NADRA’s identity infrastructure. The platform also supports advanced OCR-based processing of identity documents, simplifying onboarding journeys by automating data extraction and validation. Additionally, Identity 360 Global offers a unique QR code-based offline digital identity verification capability, allowing credentials to be securely verified even in low-connectivity environments.

“The technology’s flexible architecture enables organizations to combine biometric verification, document intelligence, and offline identity validation to address a wide range of operational and customer use cases,” said Azhar Ali Khan, Chief Technology Officer of Identity 360 Global.

For millions of Pakistanis, particularly those outside major urban centers, this translates into faster access to digital financial services without compromising security or convenience.

This milestone comes at a time when financial institutions worldwide face increasingly sophisticated fraud threats, including deepfakes, spoofed identities, SIM swap attacks, account takeovers, and synthetic identity fraud. Technologies capable of determining whether a biometric sample originates from a real, live individual are becoming indispensable components of digital onboarding and authentication journeys.

According to EPL, this demonstrates that world-class identity technology can be successfully deployed at scale within emerging markets. “Digital transformation delivers its greatest impact when it reaches the last mile,” said Ghazanfar Ali Khan, CEO of EPL. “Through Identity 360 Global and CBA, we are bringing globally trusted identity capabilities to Pakistan’s financial ecosystem, signaling the country’s increasing adoption of internationally recognized identity assurance standards.”

Identity 360 Global’s technology aligns with globally recognized certifications and frameworks, including iBeta Level 2, IDIAP, ISO and IEC standards, NIST benchmarks, FIDO principles, and MOSIP readiness. These standards govern biometric capture quality, validated liveness detection, and security frameworks used by governments, financial institutions, telecom operators, and regulated industries worldwide.

Beyond banking, the technology’s applications extend to telecommunications, government services, healthcare, travel and hospitality, e-commerce, insurance, workforce management, and customer onboarding, sectors where secure and seamless identity verification is now essential.

As Pakistan continues its transition toward a more digital and cashless economy, trusted identity infrastructure will play an increasingly vital role. Whether enabling secure customer onboarding, reducing fraud risks, facilitating access to services, or extending opportunities to underserved populations, robust digital identity systems are emerging as a cornerstone of the country’s next phase of digital growth.

With the technology already supporting more than one billion verifications globally, this achievement highlights how proven identity solutions can help shape a safer, more inclusive, and trusted digital future for Pakistan.
