The Ministry of Religious Affairs has developed a new online payment system for Hajj dues on the instructions of the prime minister, allowing applicants to submit payments from home through 1LINK.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the Hajj system has now been fully digitized from registration to payment, in a move aimed at making the process easier, faster, and more transparent for applicants.
The ministry said the new system will enable people to complete Hajj-related payments online without having to visit banks or offices, marking a major shift in how the process is being handled.
Officials also said overseas Pakistanis will be able to benefit from the facility, as they can now complete online Hajj registration and payment of dues through the digital system.
The spokesperson added that the online registration process for Hajj 2027 is already underway.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, registrations on the online Hajj portal have now crossed 150,000, which it says reflects public trust in the new digital system and the success of the platform.
The latest move comes as the government continues to push digitization of public services, with Hajj management now becoming one of the most significant religious services to shift to a fully online model.
