Punjab Announces Shrimp Internship Program With Rs. 100,000 Monthly Stipend

The Punjab government has announced the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-27, offering paid training opportunities to young professionals in shrimp farming and related fields.

The program will select 100 interns for practical training at the Shrimp Estate in Ali Wali, Muzaffargarh. Each selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 100,000.

Internship Duration and Place of Posting

The internship will continue for one year. All selected interns will be posted at the Shrimp Estate in Ali Wali, Muzaffargarh, where they will receive practical experience in shrimp farming, hatchery operations, processing, feed production, laboratory work and other related areas.

Available Internship Positions

The 100 internship positions have been divided among different technical and professional fields:

  • Farm and Hatchery Interns – 26 positions
  • Feed Mill Interns – 10 positions
  • Farm Designing Interns – 10 positions
  • Processing Plant Interns – 10 positions
  • Chemist Interns – 10 positions
  • Pathologist Interns – 10 positions
  • Microbiologist Interns – 10 positions
  • Quantity Surveyor Interns – 6 positions
  • Electrification Design Interns – 5 positions
  • Aqua Marketing and Trading Interns – 3 positions

Monthly Stipend

Every selected intern will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 100,000 during the one-year training period.

The internship is aimed at giving young professionals practical experience while supporting Punjab’s growing shrimp aquaculture sector.
