Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi has inaugurated a free AI Summer Camp for students at the Governor House, saying that children and young people must be equipped with modern technology to meet the demands of the future.
Addressing a press conference after the inauguration, the governor said the present era belongs to artificial intelligence and that Pakistan’s future is closely linked with modern education, information technology, and AI.
He said the camp has been launched to help children use their summer vacations productively by learning new skills, developing creativity, and preparing for the digital future.
Hashmi said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision gives special importance to artificial intelligence, and practical steps are being taken to promote the sector. He added that talented children and young people would not be held back due to limited resources and would be given equal access to modern education and technology.
He said today’s children will lead Pakistan’s future IT and artificial intelligence revolution. He added that his dream is to see every child in Sindh equipped with modern education and playing an active role in building a developed and prosperous Pakistan.
The governor announced that admission to the AI Summer Camp will be granted strictly on merit to every child who knows how to use a mobile phone.
