Major Motorway Gets Ultrafast EV Charging Stations

Motorway travelers with electric vehicles (EVs) can now access ultrafast charging stations at multiple locations along the M-2 Motorway following the launch of a new charging network.

According to the announcement, ultrafast EV chargers have become operational at Chakri (North), Kallar Kahar (South), Bhera (North and South), and Sial Mor (North) motorway service areas.

Each charging station features a 360 KVA fast charger capable of charging up to four vehicles simultaneously. According to details, most EVs can be charged in 15 to 20 minutes, significantly reducing charging time for long-distance travelers.

The initiative aims to improve charging infrastructure on one of Pakistan’s busiest motorways, making intercity travel more convenient for electric vehicle owners while supporting the country’s transition toward cleaner transportation.

The deployment of the charging stations marks another step in expanding Pakistan’s EV infrastructure and encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles by improving access to fast charging facilities on major highways.
