The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced a 7 percent increase in toll rates for commuters using the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2), with the revised charges coming into effect from July 5, 2026. According to an official notification, the revised toll rates will remain applicable until April 23, 2027.
The increase is being implemented under the concession agreement signed between the NHA and Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), for the overlay and modernization of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.
The revised toll rates for different vehicle categories are as follows:

Motorists traveling on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway are advised to take note of the revised toll rates before planning their journeys, as the new charges will become effective from July 5, 2026.

Can NHA / FWO Publish a Comparitive Chart of Toll Rates of M-2 for the Last Five Years with the Percentage Increase and Reasons/Rationale. Why it is FWO running the Show on Motorways isn't there is any other Company/Institution in the Country to do this Task.

Establishment is looting Punjabi peoples in connivance with lul federal government and it is also looking to occupy punjab's urban rural land as there is no history of resistance from Punjabis. In the return of establishment interests in other provinces, people of punjab are forced to compensate with regard to non payments of utilities bills and theft losses by other provinces.
