The Balochistan School Education Department has announced short-term summer vacations for all public and private schools located in the province’s Winter Zone.
Under the official schedule, schools in these colder areas will remain closed from July 18 to August 2, 2026. Academic activities will resume on Monday, August 3, 2026.
According to the notification, the reopening date will apply across both the Summer Zone and Winter Zone, ensuring a uniform resumption of classes throughout the province after the break.
The decision was issued through an official order from the School Education Department and signed by Secretary School Education Lal Jan Jaffar. The notification states that all concerned institutions are required to observe the vacation schedule accordingly.
The move is part of Balochistan’s regular academic planning, where school calendars are adjusted according to the province’s varying weather conditions. Because different parts of Balochistan experience sharply different climates, education authorities divide the province into summer and winter zones and announce holidays accordingly.
The latest notification specifically covers schools in the Winter Zone and describes the break as a short-term summer vacation. With the reopening date already set, both public and private institutions across the province are expected to restart classes simultaneously on August 3.
