Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro will launch in China on July 14.
The company previously announced that the Note 17 lineup would arrive this month. It has now revealed the official launch date, design, and several features ahead of the event.
Since the phones tend to reach the international market a few months after their China launch, we can expect to see the Note 17 lineup reach other markets, including Pakistan, either later this year or early next year.
New Camera Design
Official teaser images show the standard Redmi Note 17 with a single rear camera inside a square-shaped camera module.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro appears to feature two rear cameras housed within a similar camera island.
Redmi has also shown the Pro model in a new Clear Blue colour option.
Improved Durability
Redmi has confirmed that the Note 17 Pro will feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The phone will also carry an IP69K rating, protecting it from dust and high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
Leaked Specifications
A recent leak claims that the standard Redmi Note 17 will feature a 6.83-inch display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
The phone is also tipped to carry a large 9,000 mAh battery and a 50MP primary rear camera.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to share several core specifications with the standard model. However, it could replace the 50MP primary camera with a higher-resolution 200MP sensor.
Redmi has not officially confirmed these specifications, so they should be treated as unverified until the launch event.
Pricing and Availability
Redmi has not yet announced the prices or complete availability details for the two smartphones.
The company will reveal the final specifications, configurations, and pricing during the July 14 launch event in China.
