Atlas Honda May Launch 250cc and 500cc Bikes in Pakistan

Atlas Honda could be preparing to enter Pakistan’s premium motorcycle segment, with the company indicating that it may introduce 250cc and 500cc motorcycles if demand for higher-displacement bikes continues to grow.

The update was shared during Atlas Honda’s MY26 corporate briefing, attended by Topline Securities, where management said the rising sales of larger-engine motorcycles, supported in part by higher overseas remittances, have encouraged the company to consider expanding its product lineup beyond its traditional offerings.

During the briefing, the company also outlined plans to expand its production capacity. Atlas Honda’s current rated capacity stands at 1.65 million motorcycles annually, which is expected to increase to 2 million units per year after an ongoing expansion project is completed by December 2026. The expansion carries an estimated capital expenditure of Rs. 5–6 billion.

Management noted that the company is currently producing above its rated capacity by utilizing overtime and support from its vendor ecosystem to meet strong market demand.

Atlas Honda also said the overall two-wheeler market has recovered to around 2.3 million units, though sales by Chinese motorcycle brands have declined significantly from their historical peak. Meanwhile, motorcycles with engine capacities above 100cc continue to gain a larger share of the market due to improving consumer demand.

The company added that no additional investment is currently planned for electric vehicle production, as it believes its existing facilities are sufficient to meet expected EV demand. It also stated that it has not increased motorcycle prices over the past three years, apart from adjustments related to government levies, and remains optimistic that improving farm incomes will continue to support motorcycle sales.
