According to the Met Office, moist currents from the Arabian Sea are becoming stronger, while a westerly wave is also likely to affect the country. Under this system, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in several areas today and tomorrow.

Rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and different parts of Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum. Heavy rain may also occur at a few places.

The Met Office has also forecast showers in parts of Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, and Khairpur. Heavy rainfall is also possible at some places.

Rain is also expected in different parts of Balochistan, including Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Sherani, Ziarat, Sibbi, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Khuzdar, Awaran, Lasbela, and Gwadar.

Authorities have been advised to remain alert, while citizens should avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain and stay away from streams, low-lying areas, and landslide-prone routes.
