The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a Special Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for students planning to apply for major scholarship programs.
According to HEC, the test will be conducted through the Education Testing Council (ETC) for candidates interested in Commonwealth Scholarships, Chinese Government Scholarships, and other HEC scholarship programs.
The Special HAT is mainly for students who want to apply for MS, M.Phil., Ph.D., and Doctoral programs under different local and international scholarship opportunities.
Online registration for the test will open on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications through the official ETC portal.
The last date to apply is Monday, August 3, 2026. Applicants are advised to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid any last-minute problems.
The Special HAT will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Candidates should keep checking the ETC portal for roll number slips, test center details, and other instructions.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official Education Testing Council (ETC) portal at etc.hec.gov.pk. Applicants should visit the portal, create or log in to their account, and complete the online registration form for the Special HAT.
