The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi has announced the official fee structure for e-Passports for Pakistani nationals living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of their rollout on July 20, 2026.
Under the new system, all passport applications submitted through the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai from July 20 onward will be processed only as e-Passports.
For a five-year e-Passport, a 36-page passport will cost AED 145 under the normal category and AED 235 for urgent processing. A 72-page passport will cost AED 260 for normal processing and AED 425 for urgent service.
For a 10-year e-Passport, applicants will pay AED 215 for a normal 36-page passport and AED 355 for urgent processing. A 72-page passport will cost AED 390 under the normal category and AED 635 for urgent service.
The embassy has also issued revised charges for replacement passports issued after the first or second loss of a passport. The fee varies depending on the passport’s validity, number of pages, and whether normal or urgent processing is selected.
The embassy clarified that existing Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) will remain valid until their expiry date. Pakistanis with more than six months of validity on their current passport have been advised to renew only when the remaining validity falls below six months.
