Flood Safety Drills Made Mandatory for Rawalpindi Schools

The School Education Department has directed all government schools across the Rawalpindi Division to conduct flood preparedness drills for students as the monsoon season begins.

In a circular issued to the heads of educational institutions, the department instructed schools to take immediate measures to protect students, teachers, school buildings, and educational equipment from possible damage caused by monsoon rains.

School administrations have been ordered to safeguard computers, laboratories, libraries, and official records during the rainy season.

The department has also directed schools to immediately report any rain-related damage to buildings to the relevant district education authorities. The reports must include details of the damage and the estimated cost of repairs.

The measures are intended to ensure the safety of students and teachers, protect government property, and prevent disruption to academic activities during the monsoon season.
